Lanzarote : The 300-volcano-island
An island of Lava and Fire

Lanzarote : an enchanting island drifting a few miles away from the coasts of Marocco. You will be amazed by its beauty and the diversity of its landscapes. From the fields of lava of the fire mountains to the oasis and palm grove of Haria, you will discover small villages that have been preserved on César Manrique's initiative Lodging in the small port of Orzola, far from the crowd, we will drive each day to the best places of interest on « Maoh » as the first inhabitants of the island ; the Guanches, called it. Then we will make a short trip (within the trip) to La Graciosa a neighbbour island with characteristic multicoloured volcano phenomena and remote, totally isolated beaches.

D1 : Flight from Paris to Arrecife. Transfer to the north of the Island to the village of Orzola : a small fisherman's village where we will stay for a week. Settling in our lodging. Short walk from the fisher's port to the Mirador del Rio. Meal in a local restaurant.

D2 : Trek in the volcanic massifs of the north of the island up to the village of Haria nestled in the hollow of a valley bordered with a splendid palm grove. Visit of the village. Walk back to Orzola.

D3 : Transfer by boat to the island of Graciosa. From the fisher's port to Caleta del Sebo, the only village of the island, our steps will lead us to the Montana Amarilla (yellow mountain)volcano, then to the hidden «Cocina» beach where you could have a swim.

D4 : Visit of the southern coast of the island. Walk to the salt marshes of Janubio. Ascenst of the massif of Los ajaches from the top of which you might catch sight of the Island of Fuerteventurra.

D5 : Visit of the center of interpretation of the the volcanos and ascenst of the Caldera Blanca volcano . On the way back : visit of the National Park of Timanfaya and its spectacular landscapes : craters with purple and ochre yellow hues.

D6 : Transfer to the west of the island where volcanism is more recent. Ascenst of the volcanos of Las lapas and Guardilama ; breathtaking view on the vine yards of La Géria that produce the famous wine of Malvoisie. Walk down the slopes of the volcano to a bodega where we will taste the local wine. Driving back to Orzola, we will visit the city of Tegguise, former capital of the island, and its typically Canarian charm.

D7 : Trek through the countryside around the village of Ye on the north of the island .We'll explore a wild beach at the feet of the Famara cliffs, and will head back to Orzola in the evening. No meal is planned so that you'll be free to try the local specialities according to your tastes.

D8 : According to the time of your flight back, visit of the Foundation César Manrique. Short walk in Arrecife, Transfer to the airport.
